⚖️ Good Person

“I live a good life, I pay my taxes, I don't hurt anybody, and I give to charity. God wouldn't send a good person like me to hell.”

God does not judge by human comparison, but by the holy standard of the Ten Commandments. The Moral Law reveals our need for a Savior.

💡 Ask them back“Would you consider yourself to be a good person? Have you kept the Ten Commandments? Have you ever told a lie in your life? Have you ever stolen anything, regardless of value? Jesus said that whoever looks upon a woman with lust has committed adultery already in his heart. If God judged you by the Ten Commandments on Judgment Day, would you be innocent or guilty? Heaven or Hell?”

⚖️ Good Person

“I went to church as a kid, I was baptized, and my grandma prays for me. I believe in God, so I am fine.”

Intellectual belief and childhood rituals do not save. Salvation requires personal repentance and the new birth of the Spirit.

💡 Ask them back“Even the demons believe in God—and tremble (James 2:19)! Judas Iscariot walked with Jesus for three years and was sent out with the Twelve to preach and heal (Matthew 10:1-8), yet he was lost. Have you personally repented and experienced the new birth that Jesus spoke of in John 3:3?”

⚖️ Good Person

“You don't know what I've done. God could never forgive someone like me.”

The Gospel is not for good people; it is for sinners, and no sin is bigger than the blood of Jesus. Paul, a former persecutor of Christians, called himself the chief of sinners—and said God saved him to show that no one is beyond His mercy.

💡 Ask them back“Can I ask you something? If Jesus' death was enough to pay for the sins of the whole world, is your sin the one thing too big for it? Is it possible that what you've done is big—but what Jesus did is bigger?”
