⚠️ What not to sayDon't yell or enter a shouting match. Black Hebrew Israelite street preachers often thrive on confrontation. Stand calm in the Spirit and let Scripture do the talking. And don't brush aside the real history of slavery and racism they point to—acknowledge it.

Dismantling Racial Salvation:
Salvation is not genetic. John the Baptist warned the religious leaders: "Do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones!" (Matthew 3:9).

Deuteronomy 28 and Edom in History:
The curses of Deuteronomy 28 fell on ancient Israel—through the Assyrian and Babylonian exiles and the Roman destruction of Jerusalem. After AD 70, Josephus records that thousands of Jewish captives were sent to Egypt as slaves (Jewish War 6.418). As for Edom, the Edomites (Idumeans) were absorbed into the Jewish nation in the 2nd century BC (Josephus, Antiquities 13.257); King Herod was an Idumean. There is no historical link between Edom and Europeans. Above all, "Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us" (Galatians 3:13).

You can sayThe transatlantic slave trade was a horrific evil, and I grieve it with you. But Deuteronomy 28 was fulfilled on ancient Israel: after Jerusalem fell in AD 70, Josephus records Jewish captives sent to Egypt as slaves, and ancient writers report that after the revolt of AD 135 so many were sold that the slave markets were glutted. More importantly, Galatians 3:13 says Christ became a curse for us to redeem us from the curse—so no one has to live under Deuteronomy 28.

They say“"Gentiles" in Acts just means Israelites scattered among the nations. The Gospel was never for other races.”

You can sayRead the passage. Cornelius was a Roman centurion of the Italian Regiment (Acts 10:1), and Peter said it was unlawful for a Jew to keep company with "one of another nation" (10:28). The Jerusalem church was amazed: "God has also granted to the Gentiles repentance to life" (11:18). And Revelation 7:9 shows a multitude "of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues"—not only twelve tribes.

They say“Esau was red and hairy (Genesis 25:25)—that describes white people. Edom is Europe.”

You can sayEsau's descendants, the Edomites, lived south of the Dead Sea, and by the 2nd century BC they had been absorbed into the Jewish nation (Josephus, Antiquities 13.257)—Herod the Great was one of them. There is no historical link between Edom and Europeans. And God's judgments on Edom in Obadiah were about their violence against Judah, not skin color.
